Common Concerns Following an Accident

  1. Somebody called me from the insurance company - what should I say?

Generally, a claim adjuster will call immediately after an accident to get a recorded statement from you regarding the incident. Please be advised - anything you say can be used against you in a court of law.

  2. I think I may have been injured, and need to find a good doctor.

Our office has over 30 years experience handling personal injury cases in Elyria, Cleveland, and Akron. We can assist you in finding a doctor in your area who is willing to work with you on your medical bills while your claim is being processed.

  3. What is my claim worth?

If you were injured in an accident, you may be legally entitled to receive compensation for your injuries, medical bills, lost wages, and pain and suffering. Often time's claims are worth more than may be initially portrayed to the victim. As an attorney, I can work with you to determine the true value of the claim.

  4. What if the person who hit me does not have insurance?

You still may be able to recover. We may be able to file an uninsured motorist claim against your own insurance company who will then attempt to recover from the guilty party.

  5. Do I have to go to court to recover for my injuries?

Not necessarily. I am usually able to reach a mutually favorable settlement before the claim ever reaches trial.

  6. I don't think I can afford an attorney.

Our fees are contingent on your recovery. If you don't recover, there is no fee.
